Farewell Halo 2

I, along with a ton of other people, played Halo 2 over Xbox Live last night as a last hurrah for the multiplayer. It brought back a lot of memories of playing those maps, most of which are far superior to what's in Halo 3. Terminal comes to mind. Sucks that I didn't get into any games on Coagulation or Turf.

Halo 2 was the only game that I ever went to a midnight launch for. Stood in line at a Gamestop for over 2 hours just to get my reserved copy. They were running a Halo tournament in the store at the same time, so it caused all the rest of us to have to wait forever.

And I probably wouldn't know a lot of the great guys I know today without Halo 2 and Podtacular. It's pretty much what got me into the community and podcasting.

Community Gamerpics

It was just announced that there is a new picture pack on XBL filled with pics from community sites and podcasts. This is great news for all the hard working guys at Podtacular and even Gamertag Radio. Apparently it's all the shows in the Gamercast Network, which is awfully convenient. I find it interesting that shows like XBL Radio, 360Style or GamerAndy didn't make it in. The Gamerscore Blog guys could have given their slot to somebody else who's actually in the community. Of course, I'm thrilled that Podtacular now have their own gamerpic. Foo Mo Jive and JVB really deserve that. Of course, there are others that aren't as deserving, but whatever. And yes, I'm talking about the bitches over at Uncle Gamer.

Podcasts And Stuff
